"How much and how little can one possess?" I can chew over this adage and be not exhausted for quite a long time.
Humanity keeps induced by the beauty of the surroundings. Our curiosity to go high into the skies, deep into the ground, glue something upon, cut something else down, built the human intellectual capital. But these superlatives are mostly attributed to materialistic world.
The other school of thought seem to show something in contrary. How less material things a man can have in his possession? We realized that we are a minuscule in this vast cosmos. Yet, we are captivated by the very feeling of being alive, our conscience, cognizance, intuition, intelligence, and all the chaotic swirls in our mind. We feel the void inside larger and more perplexing than the universe. Most of our endeavors are pertaining to the genuine purpose of life and how best we can lead it. These accomplishments are mostly pertaining to spirituality.
Ignoring whose endeavor was the whole spirituality subject is, we have a more important subject that is dear to everyone. "Success". Remarkably, it emanates from spirituality. One of the oldest scriptures of philosophy:
"So you are doing this again. How far have you gone this time?" slightly sane self inquires sarcastically. How is he so sure that I will not finish this to the end? After all, this is not the first time he watched me fail to conclude what I start.

You are what your deep, driving desire is.
As your desire is, so is your will.
As your will is, so is your deed.
As your deed is, so is your destiny.
